To the Eleuthras

5/8/2015- We anchored off Finley Cay which is a small uninhabited island in the middle of nowhere about halfway between Nassau and Governors Harbor, Eleuthera. There is a stretch of sand bar about a mile to the West of the island. We tucked in between it and the island and had a very comfortable night. Two small sharks about 3 foot long were trying to mate near the boat and were still there when we lifted anchor. Also saw two large starfish below the bow. Water is so clear it is unbelievable. Leaving this morning for Governors Harbor which is the original capitol of the Bahamas.

5/9/15 The wind only allowed us to sail for about 2 hours then when we turned SE we had to motor the rest of the way. Arrived in Governors Harbor about 3PM. Weather is calm and we are on a mooring ball so we plan on renting a car to see the island which is 100 miles long. Will explore mostly to the North since we will be leaving to the South.
