Marathon

We had a great time in Marathon. Dinghy ride to City Marina is very short and the showers feel great but the ventilation is poor so by the time you dry off you are already sweating. Feels good to get back outside.

Met Bob and Mary Snodgrass from the Punta Gorda Sailing Club. Dined with them at Burdines. They are a very friendly and fun couple. Burdines still has the best hamburger and french fries.

The day prior, we had lunch at Lazy Days South with the Waterway Cruising Club. The first night we ate at The Fisheries and I got the Grouper sandwich. The tall white egret was missing. I guess they ran it off. Last night we had pizza at a place just across highway one. It rivaled the ones we get in Naples.

Today we finally released the mooring ball and headed north. Not sure yet about the weather because it keeps changing but if you keep hanging out in Marathon you will never leave.

One Responseso far.

Hi Guys, glad you are having a good time, and are safe. Have you been to the Pink Pig? Went out with Frank and Moreen, in his new/old boat. Fun. We also like Marathon. Was just 2 hours from where we lived.
